AX32 Helps Singapore College Port to a Dante AoIP Network Solution
Ngee Ann Polytechnic strives to offer cutting-edge solutions to its students, and a recent implementation of a Dante IP Audio solution strongly supports that view.
The college has nearly 15,000 full-time students and deployed their new Dante Audio over IP network to simplify the creation of a self-contained 'blackbox-style' recording space with live performance and audio-visual production capabilities for the students.
And a very central component in the solution is an AX32 unit: The recording space, built around an Avid S6 console and ProTools, incorporates a Dante-enabled DAD AX32 I/O interface, with Dante Virtual Soundcard running on all five Macs.
The live sound space utilizes two Dante-enabled mixers, a DiGiCo S21 and aYamaha Q1, complemented by a Rio 1608-D stagebox to support all I/O connectivity.
That's one of the significant points about the Audinate Dante protocol: So many different manufacturers support it and bit by bit the entire Dante eco system is expanding, which ultimately means that the IP Audio solutions you could create could be tailored to the extreme.
