All settings of the AX24 converters are controlled via the DADman application, which is capable of controlling setting of more than 128 channels of the Digital Audio Denmark converters. DADman can run on both Windows PC with XP or MAC PC with OS X. DADman 2.0 is the version for operating on windows, also supporting the ADDA2408 products. DADman 3.1 is available in a version for PC and one for Intel and Power PC MAC platforms. The control interface for the AX24 itself is RS422. An RS422 control signal can be transferred for a distance of more than 100 meter. Digital Audio Denmark can provide a variety of small USB to RS422 or Ethernet to RS422 converter boxes with between 1 and 8 RS422 outputs for controlling one or multiply AX24’s. DADman serves as a tool for managing the set-up of more converters and storing the individual settings for easy set-up and configuration.

DADman 3.2 is available in a version for Windows and a version which can run on all MAC OS X platforms installed with OS X 10.4 (Tiger) or newer. The MAC application is a dual binary code type and can install both on Intel and Power PC OS X platforms. In order for the application to control the AX24 AD/DA converter, DADman has to be installed as well at the driver for the USB to RS-422 interface. This interface can be either an EasySync or a KeySpan type. The hardware will work on both platforms. Separate drivers are needed for the to types/platforms.
