DAD
- Digital Audio Denmark has been acquired by
NTP Technology A/S (NTP).
Established in
1958, NTP is a major supplier of high-reliability
audio routing systems for major international
broadcasters. NTP products are integrated into
television and radio stations as well as major
production centres, post-production facilities
and outside broadcast vehicles.
DAD becomes a wholly-owned
business unit and brand within NTP following
the transfer of key sales and engineering staff
to NTP. |

"NTP addresses the
same high-end audio production and broadcast sectors
that DAD always sought to serve," comments Mikael
Vest co-founder of DAD and sales director of NTP (left)
. "I am very pleased with the level of support NTP's
management and the management of its Dan Technologies
parent group have given to the DAD operation. The
expanded team looks forward to building on the opportunities
created by the integration of the two companies' product
lines".
"This is a very positive development
which will benefit existing and future customers of
both DAD and NTP," adds NTP's Managing Director Hans-Christian
Kjaergaard-Hansen (right). "Since its formation
eight years ago, DAD has won very wide respect for
its range of high-specification audio interface equipment
and for their very competitive pricing. DAD's flagship
AX24 eight-channel audio converter supports the ultra-high
352.8 DXD sampling rate used for recording and editing
Super Audio CD, in addition to PCM frequencies of
44.1 up to 192 kHz. This and the DAD ADDA product
range fully complement the existing NTP portfolio
of audio routing and processing equipment. DAD's founder,
Mikael Vest joined us recently as Sales Director and
is ideally placed to ensure sustained promotion and
support for our respective product families. DAD's
Technical Director Jeppe Sorensen has joined our engineering
team and is already making significant contributions
to the engineering effort at NTP."
The address and telephone numbers
for DAD havechanged since all activities have relocated
to the NTP premises. The new contact details can be
found on the About Us page.
