NTP NL header V2

NAB 2018 is just around the corner, kicking off the exhibition part of the show on April 9th and running until the 12th. We will be there co-exhibiting with our US distributor, plus24, at booth #C6046 in Central Hall.

At the show, we will have a full-blown PRO|MON|3 solution at hand, including the new SPQ speaker processing DSP card and the MOM hardware monitor controller along with AX32. We will also bring the latest from NTP Technology with a special focus on Penta 720 and AX32 compatibility with Audinate's Dante Domain Manager, as well as an updated version of the NTP Router control software VMC that has now reached version 3.

Workshop & Demo Session

In connection with NAB 2018, we will host a demo and workshop session, featuring AX32 with SPQ Speaker Processing and MOM hands-on control.

The event will take place on the first evening of the show, Monday the 9th of April from 7 PM to 9 PM, in Suite 560 at Westgate Resort just a 10 minute walk from the show floor. Drinks and light snacks will be served.

MOM - Monitor Operating Module

In a world that seem to be gradually moving towards working and mixing 'in the box', there are still situations where hands-on control is second to none.

Monitor control is one of those cases. Enter MOM - our Monitor Operating Module.

MOM is the perfect, tactile match for one or more AX32 and DX32R units equipped with the PRO|MON|3 monitor control license. The MOM is a remote control, connected via Ethernet, and no audio is actually passing through the unit. The audio-routing magic happens within the AX32 or DX32R and is set up via the DADman software. But once you connect the MOM, the magic now resides right at your fingertips.

SPQ Speaker Processer EQ Option for AX32 w/ PRO|MON|3

The SPQ system consist of a DSP card that you can install in one of the 8 card slots of AX32. The SPQ Speaker Processor System is extremely flexible and you can match it to any speaker configuration, including immersive audio formats such as Dolby Atmos.

Management of the controls is handled via the DADman control software, where you can configure processing for all output channels in the defined monitor profile - also on cue signals. Processing can be applied for room tuning, bass management and equalizing of cue and monitor signals. And you can easily save and recall all configurations in the DADman monitor profile.

Highlights
- DSP/FPGA Card for AX32
- Room Tuning with up to 16 Filters Per Channel
- Bass Management with Support for Multiple Subs
- 1024 IIR Filters
- 128 channels @ 48 kHz
- Sample Rates from 44,1 to 384 kHz
- Adjustable Latency up to 150ms Per Channel
- Speaker Match Between Various Immersive Audio Formats

NTP Technology Penta 720 and Penta 721 as Audio Multi Format Dante Route

Penta_720-500

With Dante AoIP getting more and more leverage in today’s broadcast environment, the need for easy and flexible control of audio routing and signal flow is increasingly relevant and more challenging than ever.

At NAB 2018, NTP Technology is introducing advanced routing solutions with its new Dante/AES67 Penta 720 and Penta 721 audio routing interfaces. These new rackmount units allow more Dante channels and provide full compliance with the new Dante Domain Manager software for management of multiple network domains and IP subnets.

Visit Booth C6046 for full demos by NTP and US distributor plus24

NTP’s new Penta 720 is a 2U modular audio interface with a variety of analog and digital interface options. The units have dual power supplies and support hot swap of the 8 configurable interface cards. The new Penta 721 is a 1U digital only unit, with dual power supplies, that can be configured with various build-in options.

With NTP’s new Penta units, broadcasters can manage and route Dante channels with greater speed and simpler functionality using the DADman control software, the NTP VMC database driven control system, or a third party system via the Probel SW-P-08 control protocol.

With increased focus on network security in today’s broadcast environments, location trucks, and performance venues, access to AoIP control can now be restricted for typical users and the network can be pin-locked via Audinate’s Dante controller. There is a distinct advantage in using NTP’s Penta system as the routing matrix, because all relevant input and outputs are easily accessible for routing, as well as summing in the Penta summing matrix.

NTP innovative routing solution configures all Dante channels according to the need for fixed connectivity and IP tielines, and then uses that matrix on the Penta for the dynamic routing.

In cases where multiple subnets are a part of the network configuration, the Dante Domain Manager can be used for bridging audio between subnets and also distribute PTP clock information. Domains can be set up to target defined groups of units across the network, and within the domains a Penta can be used for routing as well as audio I/O.

Updated VMC Control Software

NTPVMCroutingcont

New VMC2 V.1.80 now incorporates functionality for configuration of matrix sub-view windows and scheduled event windows for an easy overview and management of scheduled events in radio playout applications.

VMC2 is the latest member of the GUI suite of the NTP VMC (Visual Matrix Control) management control software, which serve as software clients for user operation of an NTP Router system based on the RCCore Router control system running on the redundant NTP 635 controllers.

The NTP user control clients and the control system, provides failsafe ethernet based control of the NTP Router and I/O products being Penta 720. Penta 721 or the 625 product line.
